What is the impact of productivity on you?

This week’s newsletter is mostly about productivity although it is shorter that usual.

No I did not drop my productivity; I simply needed to focus in different directions this week.

The issue is that productivity has a direct relation to your bottom line.  And a large factor in productivity and also profitability is your staff culture.

One of the very real benefits of implementing a management system properly is that you involved your workers in the process and get them contributing to the process and onside as they help develop effective outcomes.

The first couple of articles are important here.

My kindest regards

Jean

What don’t you do as well as you used to do?

I acknowledge freely that I grabbed this idea from an article by Julia Bickerstaff.

Years ago when coffee beans started getting expensive, some of the instant coffee manufacturers replaced a little of the good coffee with a cheap substitute. At first they replaced just a few granules.

Many customers continued to buy the product and apparently didn’t notice change in the coffee taste, but the manufactures got to make it a little cheaper. Bingo!

Quick note
JUST months before the carbon tax is introduced, an auditor's report has found that more than one in six major polluters has made ''significant errors'' when reporting its greenhouse emissions and energy use to the government.

Sea Turtles Sex depends on Temperature

Warmer temperatures (higher than approximately 29°C) produce females. Cooler temperatures produce more males.
Higher sand temperatures – even small increases – also lead to shorter incubations, which decreases the young’s body size and mass. It is likely that smaller body size reduces hatchlings' chances of survival
