Jean Cannon has spent more than 20 years helping businesses implement risk-based environmental management systems into their management and planning and is now a highly sought-after environmental management and climate change speaker. Her wide range of clients comprise aquaculture, agriculture, fishing, marinas, slipways, pest control, construction, turf production, cleaning, printing, stock-feed manufacture and car-component manufacture.

Jean is passionate about her cause and devoted to facilitating practical and cost-effective environment, quality and safety management solutions for all industries. She has worked with small and medium businesses to corporate entities.

In 2003, Jean developed and launched Enviro Action and ‘Easy to be Green’ method of working with groups of businesses, which was a feature of her 2006 session at the Australasian Aquaculture Conference. Jean is also an extremely pragmatic business person who recognises that small business, in particular, is under a range of enormous pressures. Her unusually wide background as a business person, consultant, trainer, marine biologist, teacher, speaker, auditor and author bring an extensive knowledge base to this book. The book was launched at the Environmental Management Systems conference in Toowoomba Queensland in May 2007 by the Mayor, Di Thorley.
